best time to travel with a 5 mo old? please read…?

we are going on vacation with family; we are all travelling at diff times 2 meet up there---hub works 2nd shift; we will be going 4-5 hrs by car....ok, we can leave at night after hub comes in, get there and sleep while fam watches baby, or go the next am...she will prob sleep if we leave at night, and we may have 2 stop less, but obviously, a lot of businesses on the way will be closed if we need to stop...any thoughts?
also, she still fits in her infant seat, but we have her a new britax blvd; which she hasn't tried yet...which do u think would be more comfy for her, assuming she will be sleeping mostly...if we go at night

We drove 12 hrs for our trip and my daughter (6mo) slept the whole way through the night (8pm-8am) it was a perfect easy trip (we were tired but it was worth it !

Ps we also had two dogs with us….

Night is the best time to go in my opinion.

Go as soon as possible, it only gets harder as they get older. I have the Britax Marathon, it is comfy for my daughter (16 months) you may want to get the snuzzler (also from babies r us) for your little one as she’s smaller.

Definitely go at night. Since your daughter will be rear-facing, either car-seat will be fine. The convertible type carseats can be difficult to recline once you put them forward facing.
