Best toddler/booster seats?

I have a 26 mo old (approx 40 lbs and 3ft tall) and a 4 mo old, who is in an infant seat. My 4 mo old is getting too big for his seat and I want to put him in my other son's car seat (Britax Marithon convertable carseat) and buy my older son a toddler/booster seat. Any suggestions/opinions as to the best ones out there? I definately want one with a 5 point harness, but there are so many to choose from and when I look it up on the internet, there are so many different opinions from different companies. Please let me know which ones you use and how you like them. THX!
Money is always an issue, but when it comes to my babies, I will spend what I need to as long as they are safe. That said, I was looking at the Britax Regent and that seat is huge. We have a Toyota Corolla and I am concerned about it fitting. Is there any seat as good as Britax but not so big?

I too have Britax seats and everyone always comments on how sturdy they are and how easy to tighten they are. A friend has a cousin in law enforcement and he said, "Off the record, we see kids fare better in accidents in these seats than in other brands." So, we went with Britax.

I have the Companion, Marathon (2) and Regent for my 4 year old. While the Regent is wide, it fits well in our Camry and my son is very comfy in it. It fits very tightly too, not moving at all. I always opt for safety over anything else…I don’t worry about things being heavy or bulky like some peope complain about. I love my seats and the Regent is a good upgrade. It looks roomy enough for him to sit in it for some time. My son is tall and skinny for his age (he only weighs 40 bls. now). If you can, go to the baby store and try it out in your car first and put your son in it too.

    Best of luck!

I have a Britax Regent for my 3 year old and it is a wonderful seat. It goes to 80 lbs and has 5 point harness.

Get a Sunshine Kids Convertible Car Seat Radian 80. This car seat can hold a baby in a five point harness until they are 80 pounds. Please go to http://www.kyledavidmiller.org.

If you have high seatbacks or headrests you can also get a Cosco Apex. It harnesses to 65lbs and then can be used as a booster.

I would suggest another Britax or if money is an issue you can get the baby a Cosco Scenera (5 point harness NOT overhead shield) at Walmart or Kmart for $40. It rearfaces to 35lbs and forward faces to 40lbs and has high top harness slots.
