Booster Seat requirements in texas?

my daughter will be 3 in march, and I am wondering in Texas, can you use the booster seat, as long as she meets weight and height requirements? And my car is older and only has lap belts, can I use a booster with only a lap belt?

Here is a website i found, http://www.infant-car-seats.com/cgi-local/SoftCart.exe/online-store/scstore/p-Graco-Turbo-Booster-SafeSeat.html?L+scstore+gssm1239ff323232+1228463732
do you think if my daughter meets these standards, it will be safe for her?

  1. Typo says:

My niece will be three in February and is just now getting close to big enough for a booster seat to fit properly.

By the way, the seat in the link if for a child 38 inches tall or taller, weighs 30 pounds and at least three years of age. if she is that big, then go for it.

Height weight and age. When all three are meeting or exceeding the requirement then you can switch. I think most state laws require the child to be at least 4 to do a booster.
