We bought the graco model, thelarger one and I really think i have only used the strollermaybe 10 times in the last 4 months…I too am addicted to wearing my daughter in a sling. If i am going to the store i will just put the carseat in a cart, but if i am going shopping or just walking around i sling her. For longer outing (beach, museam, aquiariums) i take the stoller along and then after i get tired or too warm of wearing her i switch out. I would say if money isnt a prob get the travel systems..they are great, but if you need to conserve. get the carseat, sling and one of the good sturdy $40 stollers(umbrella stoller on steroids, is what my hubby calls them) a new baby doesnt mind laying in a stroller and they usually go right back to sleep when you take them out of the car seat. As for the slings I perfer the Hotslings.com kind, but they can be $45 and up. I bought one and then i got 2 on craigslist for $20 each and I have even made a couple, with a sewing machine from a yard sale. Good luck- I am not sure i said it before but the Grace model i have is sooo heavy and huge…if you get a systems deffenitly get a ultra light model.

I don’t see why not. I beats using an umbrella one wheres there is no storage for anything. I use mine all the time, but w/o the car seat now b/c she’s 7 mos. I have a jogging stroller and hate it. It didn’t dawn on me that the front wheel doesn’t turn. LOL So alot of times it is a pain to navigate especially when there is a big crowd

I do. I used the carseat with the snap-n-go stroller for a while but I hated it so I started using the stroller it came with. It is sooo much better.

Yes you can. They are the most convenient car seats because you don’t have to gt your baby in and out of the car seat, and also they will usually stay asleep since you are not getting them out all the time.

Sure, but the sling is easier, less bulky and baby will be happier if he’s carried close to you rather than laying down in a plastic and ployester seat. I’m not dissing strollers (I own two of them), but I use the sling every day. The stroller doesn’t see as much action.

Laura is right. You can actually use the sling until your baby gets too heavy for you to carry her. I carry my three year old (30 pounds) and my 21 month old (20 pounds). I will continue to carry them both until they refuse to go into the sling!

we could not afford a new one. but my friend still had her combo… we used em both, till she outgrew the carseat part. had to get new carseat but we still use the stroller almost every day now 2 yrs ol…

Yes! I used mine constantly. I still use the same stroller and my son is 15 mos. old. Unlike the umbrella stroller, it’s comfy for him and has a basket below for my purse, diaper bag, etc. It folds down and fits perfectly into my very small trunk.

Why not? Use whatever is easiest for you. You don’t even NEED a stroller, really. I found that using a sling was a million times easier (fooling with a stroller is a pain), and you can use it til the child’s 2 (riding on your hip). After that, an umbrella stroller works fine for when they’re tired and don’t want to walk.

Incidentally, there have been studies where they’ve given women in countries where they normally "wear" their babies in slings and carry them everywhere baby carriers (like infant carseats) and encouraged them to use these. The babies wound up less securely attached than babies who were carried more. If you want a quiet, happy baby, wear her in a sling as much as possible. She craves her mother’s warmth, scent, and heartbeat– not being alone in a stroller. Think about how many babies you’ve seen crying in strollers and how many you’ve seen crying when worn by a parent? Babies carried on your body are always more content.
