Cart Cover for Infants who need a Little Asistance Sitting?

My 5 Month old Daughter is 26" Tall so she's too tall for her Infant Car seat. ( The one You typically unhook from a base and bring into the store) So shes now In a 3-1 Booster seat. But Now I have no where to put her when we go to the grocery store. She loves sitting, but can't do it unassisted yet. I'm wondering if there is one of the shopping cart covers the has like a 5 point harness, or some form of support for her.

If she is unable to sit on her own she is too little to be sitting up in the cart- cover or not. I have a cart cover and even though they have a harness, they are not a 5 point harness on those. It goes over the shoulders and snaps in the middle but not up from the bottom. It’s just got one snapping buckle. Even with that it won’t keep their head up or keep them from slumping if they can’t sit up properly yet. This would make it dangerous because she could slip down through the leg openings of the cart and strangle on the buckle.
Your safest option is a sling or infant carrier that you can wear until she is a little bit older and strong enough to sit unassisted on her own.

Use a sling or other soft carrier.

Bring the infant carrier anyways, it doesn’t matter if she’s a little tall for just using it in a shopping cart. If she’s still slumping forward or tipping over then she’s too little for those cart covers. If she’s merely a little unstable on corners then just roll a blanket or jacket next to her in the cart to stabilize her.

I’ve never taken an infant seat into a store. You just need a baby carrier like a mei tei or sling.

PS if you want to be technical the AAP says NO child should be in a shopping cart, ever.
