Convertible car seat, help!!!!?
Okay so my daughter is 7 months old and getting to big for infant car seat. Well she loves both of the infant seats we have for her never fusses can fall asleep easily everything. Well we just went out and spent 0 on the new Evenflo Momentum Dlx 65, it has AWESOME safety features and a great latch system and looks really comfortable. We've had it for a few days now and she HATES it, she cries constantly in it even if I sit in the back with her while my boyfriend drives. Once she tried to fall asleep in it but her head fell forward and it woke her up and we have it reclined all the way back.
Do you any of you moms know of a great convertible car seat with just as good safety features/side impact protection and all that but possibly more comfortable? I mean I really don't know why she doesn't like it as it looks comfortable to me, I think it might be because it doesn't recline enough? So if you know of a good seat that your baby loves that reclines well please inform me haha because we are going to have to take back the Evenflo Momentum which I hate to do because of the amazing safety features.

take the evenflo back….not a good seat, i’m not sure where you read the reviews but this is not one that we recommend, the harness height is very low.
Try the true fit premiere it has anti rebound which is great in an accident, it can rear face til 35lbs than ff til 65lbs…….or the graco myride65, very plush, great recline and safety, rf’s til 40lbs and ff til 65lbs.
my daughter has th Britax Marathon and has always been comfy in it, it reclines a lot when they are rear facing.
I would give it a couple weeks before returning the carseat, it might not be anything with that model that she doesnt like it might just be the transition to a different kind of carseat that is hard on her.
I’d stick with the one you have. I presume the one you had was an infant carrier and nice and cosy. The new one is more like a chair? I think she’ll get used to it in time and would possibly have a problem with any new car seat?
the babe doesn’t have to like the seat -that’s not as important as her safety. visit the pros at the local fire department or ambulance service to ensure that it is installed properly. limit your errands & hire a sitter when babe doesn’t need to be in the car.
I bought a My Ride 65 for my friends son- he absolutely loves being in it! It has so much more padding than his infant seat! This seat also can keep them in a 5 point harness until 65 pounds and it’s very easy to adjust the straps to the next height. One of my favorite things was the strap that you pull to tighten the chest straps, so much easier than adjusting them from the back!
