does anyone have experience with double strollers?

My second child will be born when my son is 23 months. I'm looking for a stroller that is gender neutral, affordable, and is compatible with an infant car seat. I've been looking at the graco quattro duo tour, but I feel weird about my son not having a tray, and I'm not sure how compliant he'll be with being harnessed in. Then there's the duoglider, but it just looks cheap to me. Help?

I have the Graco Quattro Duo Tour and have had it for 2 years now. My kids love it and you don’t need a tray for son it has a cup holder and snack holder. Mine came with a bar for the front seat so my son stayed harnessed in. I took out the bar and he stays harnessed in. The Duoglider is not cheap anymore its actually for much younger kids needing a double stroller and the Quattro is for a older kids needing a double stroller. I think you should get the Graco Quattro Duo Tour I have the Sachi pattern.

I have a Jeep Double Stroller that I just love they are expensive from the store but I lucked out and found one (pretty much brand new) from a discount kids store (it was used) – both seats can fit a carseat but the back is safer and both have a tray plus the front has a steering wheel toy attached that both my 2 yr old and 1 yr old love
My sister has a Eddie Bauer that I have used (she has twins and 5 older kids) and its really nice too and actually great just bulky
I don’t like the Costco brand they are really stupid and not made well

NOTE: I was planning on getting a Baby Trend Sit & Stand Plus (which has two regular seats or the back one comes out for the Sit and Stand seat and both regular seats fit carseats great) but I found such a great deal on my Jeep that I just got it since it was my second choice

I had one then I ended up letting the older one sit in the bottom tray of a regular stroller… I probably shouldn’t have done that but it works. The big one is too hard to push around then the one in back hits the one in front in the back of the head with a bottle in there.
I have a regular jeep stroller, those are surprisingly high quality for the price you pay.

I love my Phil and Teds Sport Double!! However it comes with a price tag of at least $400. Some people don’t even know I have a second child in the back until they see it from the side. It can carry a car seat. Or you can lay the baby flat in the main seat and put the toddler seat above (you wouldn’t know there was a baby sleeping in this position). Or you can have a toddler sitting in the front, a infant sitting in the back.

The only reason why I sprung out so much for this stroller is because I’m always going to appts by myself, I’m short and most stroller like the duo glider are way too long for me to push through the door because I can’t reach and hold the door open at the same time. I can barely push it as well as see but a foot over the handle. lol.

Also the P&T, is so easy to steer with one hand even with both kids riding. The narrow aisles have nothing on me with that stroller.

I’ve always received comments on my stroller and I couldn’t have been happier that I’ve got my monies worth!!

Take into consideration what you NEED in a double stroller before investing. For me this was a great investment. For others..maybe those who have help or are bigger to push a cadillac, bigger double strollers are a breeze. It’s nice to have nice things for your kids but don’t buy into the features unless you’ll benefit from them.

There is also a nice Mia Moda Sit and Stand stroller for $199 in some stores.

I had a normal graco double stroller…i never really cared for the graco quattro tour strollers. They are just to big and bulky for my style. I loved mine!! Both of my boys had trays, huge basket underneath to fit my bags and diaper bag….cup holders…a little compartment to put my keys or whatever i needed to in it…both seats had visors to keep the sun out etc. I used the stroller for 2years and used it ALOT…it was in great condition when i gave it away. I spent i think 190 on mine at toys r us =)
