Forward Facing in the Graco Safe Seat?

My son is nearing his first birthday. He hasn't outgrown the length or weight specifications for his Grace SafeSeat, so we'd like to keep using it for a while. But he really doesn't like facing rearward. Once he is 1 year old and over 20 pounds, can we turn this infant car seat to a forward facing position and continue to use it? Or are our only options to move to the forward facing seats?

Thanks!
Lisa

Your manual will tell you whether or not the seat you have can be used forward-facing. If you don’t have a manual, you can call the manufacturer, and they will send you one free of charge. They may also have a 1-800 number you can call to ask questions.

Incidentally, for safety reasons, it’s best to keep your baby rear-facing for as long as possible. It gives them the best protection in an accident (even if they’re not too happy about it). I have a big mirror attached to the back of the seat, so my little one can see me while I’m driving, which is a big help.
