Looking for the best convertible car seat for my 8 month old. Any ideas?
She just outgrew her infant carrier car seat. I want something that is easy to install and comfortable for her but most importantly SAFE! Thanks

I just bought a Britax Marathon last week for my 4 1/2 month old. We love it. It installed easy, allows tethering RFing and will most likely keep my son RFing until he’s 3 or 4 even. I highly recommend this seat.
If it’s out of your budget try the Fisher Price Safe Voyage Deluxe
It’s a stripped down Marathon, the same shell. It’s just not as cushy and doesn’t allow tethering RFing. But it’s almost 100 bucks cheaper.
Most children out grow their seats by height long before they reach the weight limit unfortunately anyhow. Any seat that says it will be your last is lying. Even the seats that go to 80lbs don’t last that long. Car seats also have an expiration date of 6 years from date of manufacture.
We love our Britax marathon….so easy to use (I wish our graco had the same ease of installation…the LATCH hooks are easily accessed by seatbelt-type releases). It’s nice and soft and a child can use it rear facing until 40 lbs or forward facing until 65 lbs, so it’s very versatile! We got a great deal on last year’s model at http://www.albee-baby.com and it was more than we had hoped to spend, but well worth it since my son grew out of the graco infant seat before 1 year of age!
I have a britax boulevard. It’s super cushy and comfortable, super easy to install with the latch system or a belt, and extremely safe with side impact wings that double as great pillows when he falls asleep. Plus it’s good till 65 pounds!
happy shopping!
Britax, hands down the best. I own 3 different ones, Roundabout, Marathon and Parkway (booster). I love the Marathon, it’s bigger than the Roundabout, but you have to have the room for it. It does take up quite a bit of room, more than the average carseat. The fabric is cushiony and soft too! Great choice!! I am providing a link of where I bought mine, there’s free shipping too!
I have the Eddie Bauer infant to toddler and we just love it! My son is still an infant and this is our second car seat in Daddy’s car. It goes up to 100lbs so will last you a very long time! It converts from rear facing, to forward facing, to a booster. It reclines for comfort, has armrests and even a cup holder!! The adjustments are very east to use and the seat looks fabulous. As a hint…..This seat costs about $189 but I bought mine brand new on EBAY for $129 including shipping
Hope this helps!

I find that hearing from other mothers is the best way to evaluate. THis is how I buy everything!
