Travel system or separate carseat and stroller?
Which is best to buy? A travel system that includes infant car seat, base, and stroller, or a separate car seat and stroller? I can't decide! What are your experiences and recommendations?

We went with a Graco Travel System. I truly wish we had bought a carseat that we liked for it’s features (front harness adjuster, 5 point harness, etc) and then purchased a stroller that we liked for it’s features (easy to fold, fits infant seat, but is a good toddler seat as well, compact fold, easy to push, etc).
The travel system was fine, but the stroller is huge and we never use it anymore.

I highly recommend the travel system. We were given one at our shower and it’s been a total blessing. It’s everything you’ll need, the stroller will last a couple years, plus you can reuse it all if you have more children.
I personally like the travel systems but crazy me gets the mathcing pack n play and swing and high chair too lol, i just do it to be pretty:)
I’ve always bought the travel systems because in my case not only do I like them to match but also were a lil’ less than buying it separetely. =]
It really depends how much you plan to take your baby out from birth until they can sit up on their own in a stroller. Having a travel system is nice, it all matches. On the other hand, once your baby can sit up their own, you then have a cheaper quality stroller for the next few years.
if you have a babies-r-us near by, go there and play with all of them. My child is not born yet, but we bought the Chicco travel system. It was about 300 dollars, but I think it will be worth it. Who wants to wake up their sleeping baby to take him/her out of the car seat, just to be put back into a stroller to sleep? Not me!

They are nice for the first few months. Then the baby gets heavier and doesn’t like sitting in the car seat all the time … Eventually you will loathe the thing LOL. Then you may realize that the stroller is a piece of junk or too big once you are just using it by itself! I am still undecided on it. My daughter is 9 months old and I HATE her infant seat now. I wish she would grow out of it! My Hubby insists on using it until she out grows it. I have wanted to get rid of it since she was 6 months old.
If you do buy a travel system make sure that you actually check out the stroller without the car seat attached! I didn’t do that and I hate the stroller I am left with now. I bought a Graco Mosaic stroller and Snugride car seat.
I think that for baby #2 I would use an infant seat and a stroller frame thing. Then I would get a good, small, lightweight stroller once they have out grown the infant seat. I don’t think there is a point to having a stroller when they don’t actually sit in it. Plus once they are older you have more choices for strollers (ones that don’t recline all the way or can’t have an infant seat attach to them).
Travel System is the best. So if the baby is sleeping all you do is pick the carrier up and click it into the stroller it belongs to and don’t have to worry about it moving out of place.

the car seat will at less last for 4-5 months.. and the stroller you can use to put your grocery in it and have someone carry the car seat the house then ran few times to get your grocery.. hehe
you need to find car seat that face backward or both ways for up to year and they cost more money.

or you can look up which one is safely one to use in the government site for car seat safely and which one is the best and remember to read the review before buying it.
